Qualifications and experience required -

Bachelor in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling

Essential

  Minimum 2 years experience in a counselling, psychology or social worker role in a private or community organisation
  Must possess ABN or prepared to obtain one
  Strong communication skills  verbal, non-verbal and written
  Ability to build rapport quickly, effectively and genuinely 
  Ability to self-manage
  Accurate record keeping ability
  Knowledge of community resources and strong networking skills
  Member of professional association or prepared to become a member
  Work within Vision Counsellings ethos and value system
  A passion for and belief in the counselling profession

Desirable

  Resourceful and creative
  Workshop experience
  Senior First Aid Certificate
  Police Clearance
  Established community networks in Mandurah and Rockingham

Due to high demand for our services, we are seeking to employ a Registered Clinical Psychologist (or a Counselling Psychologist working towards Clinical Membership) to work for our organisation on a permanent full-time basis.

The work is varied and includes Medicare, TAC, WorkCover, Victims of Crime, private clients and also some organisational work.

The interested candidate would ideally be a member of the Clinical College, with a good counselling background and versed in CBT.  The position would suit a recently graduated Clinical Psychologist, as long as they are APS registered with either current membership to the Clinical College or membership to the Clinical College pending.

Remuneration is based on a package of approx. $60-$80K (depending on experience and qualifications), including 5 weeks of annual leave per year.  Immediate commencement is available.
